Serial Number (SN) is used to track mobile devices throughout the collection and sale process. There is a one-to-one relationship between the serial number and the specific device. Only one unique serial number is assigned to one mobile device. It is just as unique as a DNA code or a fingerprint. It is used for a product warranty or version control purposes. Typically, these numbers are assigned in chronological order by product or product family.

How to find Serial Number?

This unique device identification number can be found in several ways. Three of them are presented below.

Receipt

If you have proof of purchase, which is a receipt or invoice, the Serial Number should also be printed on it

Original Package

The quickest way to check the Serial Number is to locate it on the sticker of the original packaging, next to the IMEI number.

In the device, Settings Menu

  1. At the very beginning, clock on the Settings app.


  2. In the second step, scroll the list down and select About phone.


  3. This is the time to pick Status.


  4. Finally, you are able to read your unique Serial Number.
