What is ESN?

ESN is a shortcut for Equipment Serial Number, can be found in a few different formats and it is permanently stored in the telephone’s microprocessor. By and large, mobile communications providers use it, in particular, to identify and authenticate any cell phone to prevent any unreasonable misuses. You can locate it on the bottom side of the removable battery or the sticker on the original product package. Since 2006, the ESN has been replaced by the new standard called MEID.

What is MEID?

MEID is the shortcut for Mobile Equipment Identifier. To the best of our knowledge, it’s a much more effective phone locating method than other identifying numbers such as IMEI or ESN. Mobile Equipment Identifier number consists of 14 digits and tells us more about the phone manufacturer, regional code, and serial number. What is MSN?

MSN is a form of Manufacturer Serial Number. It usually consists of numbers and letters that tell us more about the exact time of manufacture, place of origin, and assignment of the goods to the series. Manufacturer Serial Number was created to and protect anyone from buying non-original products. You can easily locate yours on the original phone box, next to the bar code.

What is PIN?

The PIN is the shortcut for a Personal Identification Number. It’s a verifying code that enables you to access your operator’s mobile network. When you purchase a SIM card, you receive your 4-digit PIN code. However, you still have the possibility to change it in the security settings in the Encryption and credentials tab.
